As 2024 draws to a close, it’s a natural time to take stock of where we’ve been and where we’re headed. At Greenvines, this reflection isn’t just about our growth—it’s also about our impact on the planet.
This year, as part of Earth Day, we participated in Letters to the Earth, a global initiative inviting people to write heartfelt messages to the planet. Since its launch in 2019, this movement has amplified voices worldwide, including environmental advocates like Vivienne Westwood, to raise awareness about the climate crisis. Inspired by its mission, we’re sharing our own letter—a reflection on the actions we’ve taken and the commitments we continue to make for a more sustainable future.
Dear Earth,
As another year comes to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on you—on the immense beauty you hold and the challenges you face.
When it comes to climate change, we’ve noticed that people respond in different ways. Some feel powerless, believing their actions won’t make a difference. Others look away, trusting that the challenges will somehow resolve themselves. And then there are those who recognize the urgency and choose to act, no matter how small the step.
At Greenvines, we strive to stand with this third group. We understand the weight of the problems we face, and we take responsibility for the impact our choices have on you. But we also believe in solutions—innovating, improving, and acting with purpose.
Here’s what we’ve been working on:
In our formulas, we’ve removed over 2,900 unnecessary ingredients and invested in upcycled and regenerative ingredients. Our goal? To craft products that are kind to both the planet and the people who use them.
In our packaging, we’ve introduced bottles made from 100% recycled plastics and developed Taiwan’s first shampoo bottle certified for using ocean waste plastics. These steps are part of our commitment to a circular economy.
Through our Empty Bottle Recycling Program, we’ve recycled over 400,000 bottles in the past seven years. By giving materials a second life, we’ve reduced waste and kept resources in use.
We know our goal to achieve Net Zero by 2025 is ambitious, but we believe that small, intentional actions—when multiplied by many—can lead to meaningful change.
Earth, we know the clock is ticking. But as this year ends, we promise to keep doing better for you—to protect, restore, and sustain the world we share.
With gratitude and hope,
Greenvines
